Gutierriez basket in closing seconds give Knights 48-46 win over BHCC

Haverhill, MA (November 13, 2025) – The NECC women's basketball team got back into the win column on Thursday night as they defeated Bunker Hill by a 48-46 final score as Rhaelyn Gutierrez (Methuen) sunk a game winning layup with 14 seconds remaining to secure the win for the Knights as they improved to 2-0 in in conference play and 2-3 overall.
The game winning basket for Gutierrez were the final two of her game high 24 points.
Shanley Henriquez (Haverhill) and Kelsie Martinez (Lawrence) also scored in double digits for the Knights with 12 and 10 respectively.
NECC trailed 20-19 at the half, before outscoring the Bulldogs 29-26 in the second half.
